Senior Data Quality Analyst

Join our team as a Senior Data Quality Analyst for a leading financial institution in Brussels. You will be instrumental in analyzing, improving, and validating data quality controls for crucial ALM and management accounting systems. Your mission involves understanding complex data flows, identifying anomalies, and defining remediation plans. You will leverage your expertise in SQL, data analytics, and reporting tools to ensure data integrity and support key financial reporting processes within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and enhance Data Quality Controls on ALM data. Understand and map data flows from operational systems to reporting tools. Utilize data analytics, visualization, and scripting to identify root causes of data anomalies. Define remediation action plans and write business requirements for IT teams. Prepare, coordinate, and execute testing phases. Document solutions, processes, and contribute to dashboard improvements (Tableau). Ensure clear and regular communication with all stakeholders, including Management, ALM, and Finance teams.
We are seeking an experienced Data Quality Analyst to join a key project within the financial sector. This role is situated within a specialized Accounting & Reporting Solutions team, responsible for managing critical finance systems. Your primary mission is to enhance the data quality framework for extra-accounting data, particularly for Asset & Liability Management (ALM) reporting. You will analyze data flows from source systems to reporting tools, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact financial data integrity at a major organization.

Requirements:

At least 6 years of experience as a Data Quality Analyst or similar role within a financial institution (Mandatory). Strong expertise in ALM data and processes (Mandatory). Proficiency with IT systems including SQL, MS Access, and Excel (Mandatory). Experience with reporting tools like Business Objects or Cognos is a plus. Knowledge of banking accounting principles is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken) and French (spoken).
