Senior Data Engineer
Join a leading financial services organization as a Senior Data Engineer. You will be instrumental in delivering business-driven digital solutions and dashboards. Your primary mission is to enhance and streamline complex legacy Alteryx workflows, applying clean coding principles to improve maintainability and performance. This role requires strong expertise in Alteryx, SQL, and data preparation techniques to support Corporate Banking end-users. You will work in a dynamic team, transforming data to feed various visualization solutions.
Responsibilities:
Enhance and streamline legacy Alteryx workflows using clean coding principles.
Collaborate with the data team to ingest data from various systems, ensuring quality and reliability.
Simplify existing data flows and design processes to improve efficiency and performance.
Design and maintain reusable Alteryx macros to centralize transformation patterns.
Rationalize and harmonize legacy SAS and Alteryx processes.
Support and improve the deployment and release process through automation.
Apply and reinforce documentation standards for datasets and workflows.
Establish robust monitoring systems to track data quality and performance.
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer with a solid understanding of the banking sector. Your role will be to analyze and improve an existing data ecosystem built to serve Corporate Banking users with dashboards and reports. After understanding our systems, data flows, and business goals, you will focus on progressively enhancing legacy Alteryx workflows. Your mission is to centralize logic, remove redundancies, and ensure the long-term stability and efficiency of our data preparation environment, collaborating closely with users to validate impacts.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience (mandatory).
At least 4-5 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer (mandatory).
Strong background in Alteryx or similar ETL tools (mandatory).
Expertise in SQL language, especially Transact-SQL (mandatory).
Experience with versioning tools like SVN or Git (mandatory).
Hands-on experience with SAS is a plus.
Notions of data visualization tools like Tableau.
Knowledge of Python or similar programming languages.
Experience within the banking or financial sector is highly preferred.
Fluent in English and at least one local language (French or Dutch).
