Senior Business Analyst - Data Platform
Join our team as a Senior Business Analyst for a major client in the real estate industry. You will play a key role in building a new data platform from scratch, acting as the crucial link between business stakeholders and the Data Engineering team. Your main responsibilities will include gathering requirements, modeling data workflows, and overseeing UAT phases. This role requires strong skills in SQL, REST APIs, and a solid understanding of data architectures. Experience with GCP is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and formalize functional requirements from business stakeholders.
Model and document end-to-end data workflows (ingestion, transformation, exposure).
Write functional specifications and data use cases (user stories, acceptance criteria).
Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases: write test plans, track issues, and validate deliverables.
Design and document API interfaces (GET/POST requests, interface contracts).
Liaise daily with the Tech Lead Data Engineer to ensure functional and technical consistency.
Contribute to data governance: data dictionary, business rules, data lineage.
We are seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst to join a large-scale project for one of our clients. You will be instrumental in the design and construction of a new data platform from the ground up. Your role will be to act as the primary functional liaison between business stakeholders and the technical Data Engineering team. You are expected to translate business needs into clear functional specifications, document data workflows, and ensure the delivered solutions perfectly align with the initial requirements.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of experience in Business Analysis on data-intensive projects (Mandatory).
Strong understanding of data architectures like Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines (Mandatory).
Proficiency with REST API mechanisms: HTTP methods, JSON structures, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation (Mandatory).
Proven experience leading functional testing (UAT) on data projects (Mandatory).
Good command of SQL for data analysis and validation (Mandatory).
Knowledge of GCP (BigQuery, Dataproc, Cloud Composer) is highly appreciated.
Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment, in close collaboration with technical profiles.
