Expert IT Functional Analyst - Finance
Join a major financial institution in Brussels as an Expert IT Functional Analyst. This role focuses on a key P&L project, where you will translate financial concepts into detailed technical solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing using Python, SQL, and Access. Responsibilities:
Analyze current processes and elaborate on detailed technical designs.
Develop, test, and document new code primarily in Python, adhering to enterprise standards.
Estimate development workload and contribute to project planning.
Prepare and support the installation of solutions into the production environment.
Collaborate with the test management team, including bug fixing and support.
We are seeking an Expert IT Functional Analyst for a critical mission within the financial sector. You will join a team dedicated to a significant Profit & Loss (P&L) project. Your primary role will be to understand complex financial concepts, particularly in Asset and Liability Management (ALM), and translate them into robust technical designs. You will then develop and test these solutions using Python and SQL. The role requires a blend of deep financial knowledge and strong technical skills, operating within an Agile framework to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Functional Analyst (mandatory).
Master's degree in Financial Mathematics or Actuarial Science (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of Asset & Liability Management (ALM) business concepts (mandatory).
Proven practical experience with Python, SQL, and MS Access databases (mandatory).
Experience with data structuring and working in an Agile environment.
A proactive, rigorous, and collaborative team player.
Languages: Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language (French or Dutch).
